This, after the Free State Health Department has been trying to push various vaccination programmes in hopes of getting more people to vaccinate.

On Thursday, 05 August 2021, Ntombela announced a total of 444 309 vaccines were successfully administered in the province of nearly 3 million people.

Notombela said she is pleased with the progress that the province is making with the help of Free State Department of Health.

“We continue to appeal to our people to register and get the vaccine, which is our best chance of saving lives against the virus. In the meantime, let us continue to avoid large gatherings, let us practice social distancing and let us wash and sanitize our hands,” said Ntombela.

Meanwhile, Ntombela also stated that if the vaccination programme continues at the same pace, with constant supply of vaccine administration, most citizens will be vaccinated by the end of the year.
