SABC presenter laid to rest in Mahikeng─── 09:49 Sat, 12 Jun 2021
Motsweding FM’s presenter, Boitumelo Moetsi, will be laid to rest in Mahikeng in the North West this morning.
Moetsi, affectionately known as Mamane Tumi, passed away last weekend due to Covid-19 related complications. The 38-year-old is described by many as a loving mother who dedicated her time and energy to her work as a presenter.
Social media users and mourners gathered at her funeral have described her as someone who was passionate about radio and youth development.
Moetsi was popular for presenting SABC education’s Early Childhood Development Programmes.
She started off her career at Motsweding FM in 2002 as a drama artist and worked herself up the ranks. The station has described her as someone who made a great contribution towards nation building and said she will greatly be missed.
