An earth tremor was felt in parts of the North West on Sunday morning.
Volcano Discovery, says on its website the 4.8 magnitude tremor struck 7.5 kilometres from Stilfontein around 3:05 am on Sunday morning at a depth of 10 kilometres. The tremor was also felt all the way to Orkney and Kanana. There have been no immediate reports of damage. One resident in Kanana, Clifford Sebuwasengwe, says he felt the tremor in the early hours of this morning but is not sure about the time it happened and no injuries or damage was suffered. At least 37 people are said to have reported the event.
