N5 road running through #Senekal now open─── 13:35 Fri, 16 Oct 2020
The N5 road running through Senekal, which was temporarily closed for traffic on Friday morning, is now open, confirms police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele.
The road's closure was due to a heavy presence of EFF members, a heavy flow of locals and people from across the country, to avoid accidents taking place, Makhele tells OFM News.
This follows the second court appearance of Sekwetje Isaiah Mahlamba and Sekola Piet Matlaletsa, aged 32 and 44 years, who are expected to formally apply for bail after their first court appearance in the Senekal Magistrate's Court was disrupted by protesters.
The accused are charged with the murder of Brendin Horner whose body was found tied to a pole in an open space situated at the De Rots farm at Paul Roux on October the 1st. The OFM News team is in Senekal for more updates.
