Heavy police presence at #Senekal court─── LUCKY NKUYANE 09:02 Fri, 09 Oct 2020
There is a heavy police presence in the streets and around the Senekal Magistrate's Court premises ahead of a 52-year-old man's court appearance on Friday.
His arrest follows alleged malicious damage to court property and public violence after the court appearance on Tuesday of two suspected murderers of the 21-year-old farm manager, Brendin Horner, at Paul Roux near Bethlehem. A police van was also overturned and set alight on Tuesday.
There is also restricted movement in and around several streets leading to the Magistrate's Court building, including Van Riebeeck and Landdros Streets.
Curious bystanders also came in their numbers with the hope of catching a glimpse of the activities. So far the situation in the small farming town is relatively quiet.
