#Coronavirus: FS venues scouted for quarantine─── CATHY DLODLO 13:52 Fri, 28 Feb 2020
The bulk of the South African citizens - currently in China - to be repatriated might be heading to Bloemfontein and surrounding areas.
This as OFM News was reliably informed that the Black Mountain Hotel near Thaba Nchu, with a landing strip 6,7km away, is one of the venues being scouted as a possibility where those repatriated could be placed for the planned 21-day quarantine period.
OFM News previously reported that President Cyril Ramaphosa announced 132 South Africans who are stranded in Wuhan city in Hubei province, China, will be brought back home. This while 62 Free State students are in self-imposed isolation in the same province and might make up the bulk of those who return to South Africa.
Black Mountain General Manager, Peter Leonard, said he does not want to comment. Free State Health spokesperson, Mondli Mvambi, says his department is ready for when any of the repatriated citizens are heading towards the province. The presidency is referring any media questions on the execution of the repatriation process to the National Department of Health. This is a developing story.
