A wall of remembrance in honour of slain correctional officer, Nomsa Stuurman, who was brutally murdered by a prisoner in the Goedemoed Medium Correctional Centre in the Free State in March 2019, will today be unveiled.

A special wall honouring all other women who fell victim to the crime by the inmate will be revealed by the national minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola, will on Friday.

The provincial Correctional Services spokesperson, Puleng Mokhoane, says the departmental top officials and Lamola will also hold a cleaning ceremony in the room where Stuurman was brutally murdered.
