Saul to deliver first inaugural address as NC premier─── PULANE CHOANE 10:42 Tue, 28 May 2019
Recently elected premier of the Northern Cape, Zamani Saul, is expected to deliver his first inaugural address from Kimberley.
In an unprecedented move, Saul's team announced last week that this address would be held at Lerato Park, an informal settlement in the capital city.
Over the weekend and yesterday, ANC volunteers and teams took to the area to inform and invite residents and the surrounding communities to attend the address, as Saul unveils those in the provincial legislature and his plans and ideals for the province over the next five years.
His team is yet to indicate when he will also be announcing his provincial members of the cabinet, who will run the various departments under him. Meanwhile, Saul has taken to social media to state that all systems are running smoothly, with various law enforcement agencies ready to mitigate traffic and public order ahead of his address, which will take place at 10:00.
