Algiers - An Air Algerie flight that went missing en route from Burkina Faso to Algiers has crashed.
Reuters reports that an Algerian aviation official has confirmed that it has crashed, but he declined to give details of where the plane was or what caused the accident.
Algeria's APS state news agency and a Spanish airline company say authorities have lost contact with the flight en route from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso to Algiers with 110 passengers and six crew on board.
Many passengers are believed to be French and most of the crew members, Spanish.
