Bloemfontein - Grey College Primary in Bloemfontein is still without a new headmaster.
Acting headmaster, Herman Rudd, says they still await a formal announcement from the Free State Education Department about former headmaster Lindsay Mould’s replacement. Mould retired last year after 23 years.
Meanwhile the current deputy principle of Brebner High School in the city, Eddie Jones, says his appointment as headmaster at Brebner Primary yesterday came as a huge surprise but he has big aspirations for the school.
Jones, who matriculated from Brebner High, says the school is close to his heart and he wants to take the primary school to new heights.
Forty-nine-year-old Jones takes up his new position on Monday. Meanwhile deputy principle of HTS Louis Botha, Willem du Buisson, was appointed as headmaster of Sand du Plessis High School yesterday, after Roy Doubell passed away last year.
