Welkom - Matjhabeng mayor Sebenzile Ngangelizwe has launched six projects in Welkom to revitalise townships and disadvantaged areas.
Ngangelizwe says the previous financial year, the municipality’s capital expenditure budget was R212 000 million.

Zuka Baloyi Stadium in Thabong, Welkom is one of the projects that was officially launched by Ngangelizwe.
He said the renovation of the R51 million stadium began in April but there was a delay with the contractor when construction started.
Ngangezile said cemeteries will be fenced in Bronville and roads constructed in the areas to avoid vandalism.
