Mahumapelo, who was heavily criticised for the collapse of the province, has now written to the convener of the Inter-Ministerial Task Team (IMTT), Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, to demand that she axe the chairperson of the Ad Hoc Committee on North West Intervention. He says the committee chairperson, China Dodovu, was instrumental in pushing a political campaign with the so-called #SupraMustFall campaign. He says he has in his position a video recording in which a businessperson articulates how they worked with politicians such as Dodovu to execute the campaign. In this explosive statement to Dlamini Zuma, Mahumapelo adds that Dodovu will not be an objective participant in the efforts to try and revive the province. Meanwhile, Dodovu has refused to comment and said he won’t qualify Mahumapelo's statement.

In 2018, violent protests erupted in Mahikeng, with residents demanding the removal of Mahumapelo, blaming him for the lack of service delivery and accusing him of corruption.

“As you are aware, chairperson, the NW Province was put under section 100 of the RSA constitution at the time when I was still deployed as the Premier. Reports in media, analysts, the so-called community of Mahikeng put me at the centre of what was or is characterised as my central role in the total collapse of the government narrative.

"I am on the eve of challenging this narrative and will not get into it at this stage,” he adds.

Mahumapelo accuses Dodovu of using the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) to finalise the political grand plan to annihilate him. “I also have a video recording of four people who came to confess to me on 21 March 2019 on how money and drugs, among other things, were used for them to project themselves as the 'Mahikeng Concerned Community' as part of the SupraMustFall execution plan.

"The picture is now completed in one of the recordings in which honourable Dodovu is mentioned as one of the politicians who participated and led the Supra annihilation political onslaught,” Mahumapelo further adds.
