Kimberley - The Griekwastad murder trial was postponed to next year in the Kimberley High Court today.
Northern Cape Judge President Frans Kgomo granted the minor accused's new lawyer, Riaan Bode, his application for a postponement.
Kgomo was due to deliver judgement today but the 17-year old accused fired his legal team yesterday.
Bode told the court that this was because there had been irreconcilable differences between the accused and his previous legal team, led by Stoffel de Jager.
Bode and state advocate, Hannes Cloete are currently in chambers discussing a possible date on which the trial will resume.
Kgomo indicated that it would not be later than March next year.
The boy stands accused of killing Deon Steenkamp, his wife Christel, and of raping and killing their daughter Marthella, on their farm Naauwhoek in April last year.
