Interstate Bus Lines (IBL) wishes to inform passengers, employers and the community at large of the current prevailing situation of the drivers' unprotected strike. We urge all passengers to arrange alternative transport.
Employers are requested to release their employees as soon as possible, the national strike has affected IBL, and we will not be able to provide them with transportation. We apologise for the inconvenience, however, we will keep our passengers and commuters informed or give them progress later today (Thursday), said Thando Lepele, public relations officer of IBS.
We will communicate progress to our service through the Public Address System at Central Park, the media and via sms (messages). We appeal for cooperation of our loyal commuters and highly appreciate your understanding in this unpredictable period.
