New Music On OFM | News Article

We are adding big artist names to The Sound Of Your Life’s playlist this week.. #welovemusic

1. Maroon 5 Ft. Julia Michaels – Help Me Out

Help Me Out is the second single released off their upcoming sixth studio album Red Pill Blues featuring newcomer Julia Michael. The song is very stripped down in comparison to their other singles. Their studio album Red Pill Blues is set for release on the 3rd of November. Have a listen:

2. Ben Haenow Ft. ChianoSky – Alive

This doesn’t happen very often, but international singer and 11th series X Factor winner, Ben Haenow, also known for his single Something I Need, has teamed up with none other than well-known South African singer ChianoSky, to collaborate on a new single – Alive. A very powerful song with great vocals. A big comeback for both artists…

3. Demi Lovato – Tell Me You Love Me

After the long wait, Demi Lovato has dropped her sixth studio album Tell Me You Love Me, which is also the lead and titled single off the new album. Lovato on the song: “The first time I heard it, it really stuck with me because at the time I was going through a breakup. ... It's about the vulnerability of coming out of a very serious relationship and having a tough time with it. ... It also at the same time calls out a big misconception with the line, 'You ain't nobody 'til you got somebody,' which again comes from that vulnerability with mixed emotions.”

4. Rachel Platten – Perfect For You

Rachel Platten has come a long way since releasing her empowering anthem “Fight Song” in 2015. After finding mainstream success and racking up her second top 40 hit, she took some time to craft a worthy followup. Now, she is gearing up to release her sophomore LP, Waves, later this month.

Following in the trend of the project’s lead single, “Broken Glass,” her latest effort moves further into the realm of dance pop with another sleekly produced mid tempo. The hitmaker uses the track to tell a lover to take her as she is, flaws and all. “I’m wild and jealous, insane. I’m scared, but I don’t run away (you do). It’s pissing me off when you say ‘calm down calm down,’ like that” she proclaims before the beat drops out from underneath her for the chorus. “And it’s true. I can’t seem to shake it loose, ’cause all this insecurity’s hurtin’ me tighter, tryin’ to be perfect for you.”

5. Charlie Puth – How Long

After releasing the funky R&B-tinged track Attention earlier this year, Charlie Puth returned with new music to share his latest single, How Long. How Long marks a slight stylistic shift from the more straight forward pop sound that filled his debut album Nine Track Mind. While that album's singles We Don't Talk Anymore and Marvin Gaye also address different romantic ins-and-outs, the funkier R&B-leaning direction he's taken with How Long and Attention are new territory for Puth, which may or may not characterize the sound of his forthcoming sophomore album, Voice Notes.
