The Proteas will be targeting a second successive T20 International series win on Friday evening when they face Ireland in Bristol.

South Africa holds a 1-0 lead in the series following a 21-run win over the Irish on Wednesday night.

South Africa may opt to experiment again this evening with a few combinations as they build towards the World Cup.

Reeza Hendricks, who has scored four consecutive fifties, says there is still a lot to play for and there is a lot of depth on the squad.

“There is always pressure around, especially when you play international cricket for your country,” said the in-form opening batter.

“There is a lot of depth and quality in our squad at the moment. You always want to go out there and put in good performances to try to stamp your mark on the team and secure your spot.

“There is always pressure, but that comes with the game anyway.”

Another score of 50 or more on Friday night will earn the former Knights batter, Hendricks, the distinction of becoming the only player in history to score five or more consecutive half-centuries in T20 International cricket.

Play in Bristol is scheduled to get underway at 19:30.
