Blitzboks assistant coach Renfred Dazel has tasked the national 7’s side with upping their ball in hand skills when they set out to defend their HSBC World Rugby 7’s series Sydney title this weekend.
Sydney marks round 3 of 10 on the 7’s series but will be Dazel’s 1st with the mens side after the 32 tournament former BlitzBok led the ladies 7’s side for the past while.
The Blitzboks are known for their clinical defensive efforts on the field and this has prompted Dazel to emphasized the importance of an attack that matches that off defense.
Neil Powell's troops have been drawn in Pool C alongside England, Spain and Papua New Guinea for the Sydney show piecethat starts on Friday.
The Blitzboks arrived in Sydney yesterday morning and will round off their preparations ahead of their first match against Papua New Guinea on Friday morning at 09:22.
