Those powerful words were said by a man who was told that a horse will forever remain the best mode of transport when he told someone that he wanted to create a car. He was asked exactly what it is that makes him think that he's so special that he can change the course of human life. And his inner answer was simple: "I believe I CAN".

A man once had a dream, that one day he will become the first black president of arguably the world's most powerful country in the world, USA. Above it all; he believed that he CAN, and so he ran for the presidency with this slogan: "Yes we CAN"...and a few months later; he became the first black president of the USA! His name is Barack Obama.

Self-confidence is a powerful thing. When both these men made the above remarks, they were saying just that. They were literally making a bold statement to let others around them know that one of the primary keys to getting what you want out of life is believing that you can have it. You ought to believe that you have what it takes to get anything and everything you desire in life. After all: if you don't, who will?! It is practically impossible for people to endorse you for something in life believing that you can whereas you believe that you can't. The thin line separating those who can and those who can't; is called SELF-CONFIDENCE. You are an AfriCAN and not an AfriCANT for a reason. You CAN!

Let me tap into your self-confidence by saying this; the mere fact that you can have certain dreams/goals/ambitions means that you are already wired to achieve it. It means that you already have what it takes to make it. Stop doubting yourself, because;

If you can see it; you can reach it!

If you can dream it; you can live it!

If you can think it; you can do it!

Often times than not, we sell ourselves cheap and short, when in reality, we can do and achieve everything and anything we put our minds to. We constantly question ourselves if we have what it takes instead of questioning what the task ahead has to stop you from achieving what you want to achieve. We often find it easy to give up even before we start simply because someone who doubts himself, said to you: "I tried and I couldn't do it. So don't waste your time". Here's the thing, if he couldn't do it, it doesn't mean you can't do it. And if it has never been done before, tell you what - dare yourself to be the first ever to do it. Drill this into your head and heart: no mountain in life is too high for you to climb and no river is too wide for you to cross. Whatever it is that you’re trying to achieve, conquer and free yourself from it; it's all a BELIEF away. If you are to ever overcome something in life, you first need to believe that whatever it is that you are endeavoring to overcome, can be conquered. Then you need to believe and have self-confidence that you can do it... and then go out there and do it!

So many people are poor today because they didn't and still don't believe that they CAN be wealthy and rich despite their circumstances. Some people are depressed today and have been depressed for some time all because they didn't and still don't believe that there are a solution and a way around their problems and challenges. All because they failed and still fails to say they CAN overcome that depression. My friend, Jesus paid with His glorious life for you to live your life from your knees, feeding on failures, tears, hurt, pain, sorrow, and frustration. It's time to rise, to stand up and say: I CAN!!

In this age and lifetime; WINNERS win and LOSERS lose. PERIOD! You need to decide whether you CAN or CAN’T.
