Several weapons stolen from the Petrusville police station have been recovered.
Firearms stolen from the Petrusville police station on Monday have been recovered.
Officials from different law enforcement agencies followed up on information and apprehended two male suspects near the R70 road between Senekal and Rosendal in possession of an R5 rifle and 27 rounds of ammunition.
Further investigation led to the arrest of two other suspect from Maquard with two shotguns and a pistol.
The theft was discovered by officers on the incoming shift whilst compiling a handover report.
Northern Cape Hawks spokesperson Tebogo Thebe tells OFM News internal investigations are underway to determine the circumstances which led to the theft of the weapons.
