The South African former boyfriend of the Irish National Ruth Lawrence has been linked to a double murder in Ireland and is facing extradition.
Lawrence stands accused of two murders in Ireland and appeared before the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court early October.
OFM News previously reported that Lawrence fled Ireland when she was wanted for murder. The accused applied for bail, which was then postponed to 16 November 2022. Lawrence agreed to cooperate with extradition orders to take her back to Ireland.
The Free State National Prosecuting Authority's Phaladi Shuping said Lawrence’s bail application has been postponed to 28 November 2022 for the finalisation of her extradition process.

Meanwhile, Interpol tracked down Lawrence’s accomplice to a correctional centre in KwaZulu-Natal. Neville van der Westhuizen is currently serving a 15-year jail sentence for the kidnapping of three teenagers, assault and culpable murder of a teenager.
The South African citizen is wanted in Ireland for a double murder case. He and his girlfriend fled from Ireland after the murders in 2014.
Van Der Westhuizen has appeared before the Durban Magistrate’s Court, and his extradition enquiry has been postponed to 12 December 2022.
