Black farmers through the African Farmer’s Association of South Africa, AFASA, need to be aware of transformation in agriculture.
This is according to AFASA’s president, Dr Vuyo Mahlati, who told OFM News’ Christal-Lize Muller at the association’s third Agri-Business Transformation Conference, which took place outside Bloemfontein, the focus is on policy-making and its establishment and in that regard the association not only focuses on the public sector being government, but the private sector as well. According to her, that is why AFASA launched an Agribusiness Transformation Barometer at the conference which started on Sunday and ended yesterday.
