Bloemfontein - Jamaican Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce copied her superstar compatriot Usain Bolt in reclaiming her world 100 metres title at the World Athletics Championships in front of another disappointing crowd.
The 26-year-old produced a stunning display to make up for her fourth place two years.
The 1.52m-tall and powerful pocket-rocket Jamaican kept her solid running style through the finish line for an imposing victory in the season's fastest time of 10.71 seconds.
There was a first-ever African medal in the world sprints for Ivorian silver medallist Murielle Ahoure ran at time of 10.93 seconds to claim the silver.
The defending champion Carmelita Jeter of the United States was beaten into the bronze in a time of 10.94 seconds.
