The Junior Springboks are braced for a difficult game on Tuesday when they tackle Australia in their second match of the U20 Rugby Championship in Queensland.

The Baby Boks are confident after playing to a 13-13 draw against New Zealand in very wet and windy conditions on the Sunshine Coast.

Australia will have a point to prove after losing their opening game 25-6 to the Los Pumitas of Argentina.

Wet and slippery conditions are forecast again for Tuesday’s game and this will play a lot of emphasis on forward domination. 

The Junior Boks winger, Joshua Boulle, said they are prepared for anything the Junior Wallabies will throw at them.

“They are a good team and they are going to look to impress,” said Boulle. “All teams suffer after a loss and they are going to look to bounce back. There’s no doubt that they are going to come out firing and look to get the win.

“We’re prepared and know that they are going to come hard in the first 20 minutes, so we’ve just got to hold them at bay and see what happens for the rest of the game.”

This game between the Junior Wallabies and Junior Boks at the Sunshine Coast Stadium kicks off at 11:00.
