The Proteas Women and England will face each other in an historic Test in South Africa towards the end of the year.

This Test which will be the Proteas first on home soil in more than 20-years will be played at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.

For South Africa it will be just their fourth Test since the 2014/15 season, with the others having been played in India, England and more recently in Australia.

It will be the first women's Test to be played in South Africa since the 2001/02 season when India beat the Proteas by 10-wickets in Paarl.

The first-ever Test series between South Africa and England on home soil was back in 1960/61 with the English winning the four-match series 1-0 following an eight-wicket victory in Durban.

The last time South Africa and England faced each other in a Women's Test, was in Taunton in 2022 and that game ended in a draw due to rain.

In that Test the allrounder Marizanne Kapp scored a brilliant 150 in the first innings, and in the second innings she scored 43 not out. Kapp made her Test debut in the innings and 34-runs defeat to India in Mysore back in 2014.

This Test in Bloemfontein will be played from 15 to 18 December.

Meanwhile, the English will also face South Africa in three ODI's with the first and third games set to be played in Kimberley and Potchefstroom.

The incoming English tour will begin with a three-match T20 International series.
