YCLSA demands the release of arrested #FeesMustFall students─── 05:43 Mon, 24 Oct 2016
Johannesburg - The Young Communist League of South Africa, Gauteng, on Sunday demanded the release of all #FeesMustFall students with immediate effect.
This follows two consultative seminars hosted by Right to Learn held with all student leaders, SRC presidents and secretary generals from various campuses around Gauteng.
Gauteng YCLSA secretary, Alex Mdakane, said they wanted to save the academic year.
“All campuses have affirmed their commitment to going back to class without necessarily abandoning the struggle for free, compulsory and quality education in our lifetime,” Mdakane said.
About 567 people have been arrested during eight months of #FeesMustFall protests.
