Potchefstroom - Police in North West have launched an investigation after the son of Tlokwe Municipality Mayor, Kgotso Khumalo, was found murdered at the weekend.
Mike Maimane's body was found by a passerby at Extension 11, a residential area in Ikageng, Potchefstroom, in the early hours on Sunday.
Police spokesperson, Pelonomi Makau, says police suspect Maimane was stabbed to death.
