Bloemfontein - A manhunt has been launched for five armed robbers who allegedly attacked a tavern owner and his family in Botshabelo, outside Bloemfontein, on Thursday morning.
Police spokesperson, Peter Kareli, says the man and his family were held at gunpoint at their house and forced into their vehicle to drive to the tavern.
He says here the robbers stole money out of the safe and fled in the tavern owner’s bakkie.
“They pointed the mother, father and their two kids with fire arms and then took them to the tavern where they went through the safe and emptied it. No one has been arrested as yet. The vehicle was found abandoned in Bloemfontein," says Kareli.
