South African men’s hockey team ready for World League─── 08:31 Fri, 06 Mar 2015
The South African men’s hockey team are ready for the World League round two tournament which starts in Cape Town tomorrow.
Earlier this week South Africa named their 18-man squad for the tournament which sees the home side as the highest ranked team.
While Cape Town was ablaze this week and temperatures soared above the 40 degree Celsius mark, national coach Fabian Gregory told OFM Sport that the wind was actually their biggest enemy.
The coach added that their facing the ever tough Germany in their warm-ups was good preparation for the tournament.
South Africa are in Pool A alongside Egypt, China and Switzerland, while Pool B comprises of Azerbaijan, Belarus, the Czech Republic and France.
South Africa face China at Hartleyvale at 16:15 tomorrow afternoon in their opening match.
