Thaba Nchu - The Barolong Boo Seleka Cultural Centre in Thaba Nchu, which cost R3 000 000 to develop, remains a white elephant due to an alleged chieftaincy dispute that has divided the Moroka royal family.
Victor Duma, head of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), says a major issue in the dispute is the rightful heir to the Barolong throne.
Duma says the matter will be investigated by the Commission on Traditional Leadership Disputes and Claims.
He says the royal family squabble is having a negative effect on the proper functioning of the traditional council.
