Bloemhof - Some Bloemhof residents have fled the town as protestors threaten to torch municipal buildings to show their unhappiness over service delivery issues.
Willem Janse van Vuuren told OFM News he was visiting his parents, who live in the main road in Bloemhof, at the weekend.
He says the situation is volatile and his father has closed his business and the family is heading out of town until the situation normalises.
Scores of protestors were arrested last week after they attacked the home of the Mayor and other municipal employees, as well as torched and looted foreign owned tuck shops.
