Sixteen year old Tyron Mondi from Heidedal in Bloemfontein says he is overwhelmed to have come out tops in the Grand Skills Final of the Bolton Wanderers FC International Soccer School.
Mondi has won a R395 000 bursary to study and train at this UK school.
He says having a level head has paid off. Mondi says he is not scared to move overseas and is grabbing the opportunity with both hands.
The Brebner High School learner beat contestants from across the world including Switzerland, Nigeria and the US. He leaves in January.
