Inmate killed at Klerksdorp jail; 4 critically injured─── DANE DANE 16:13 Mon, 26 Aug 2013

Potchefstroom - The handover of 10 sewing machines this morning at the Klerksdorp Correctional Facility in North West was delayed following an outbreak of gang-related violence.
Correctional Commissioner Alfred Tsetsane says the incident happened after correctional officers were notified of the possibility that some of the inmates were armed with knives and other sharpened objects.
A search was done, after which the fight broke out. Ten offenders were injured.
Tsetsane says inmates are being taught how to sow as part of a rehabilitation program.
