Bloemfontein - The family of deceased radio and television personality, Vuyo Mbuli received his body from the state mortuary in Bloemfontein this morning.

The well-loved personality collapsed at the Free State Stadium on Saturday night during a Cheetahs-Reds Super Rugby match. He died in Mediclinic Bloemfontein later that night.

Acting Free State Director-General, Kopung Ralikontsana handed over Mbuli’s remains on behalf of the Free State government. Mbuli’s family have declined to address the media on the exact cause of Mbuli’s death after a post-mortem was concluded. Ralikontsana says the family is expected to release a media statement later today from Johannesburg.

Mbuli’s body was handed over to a funeral service provider and will travel by road, while his wife and family members are due to fly back to Johannesburg today.
