A new Free State district municipality is on the cards, comprising the Naledi, Setsoto and Mantsopa local Municipalities.
The Municipal Demarcation Board will hold a public and stakeholder meeting on Tuesday at the Ladybrand Town Hall.
MDB’s spokesperson Jabu Mthembu says the meeting is to consider the proposed boundary change and get inputs from the Naledi and Mantsopa local municipalities, as well as the Xhariep district municipality.
The public is encouraged to register for attendance by completing the registration form on MDB’s website.
Free State police spokesperson Thabo Litabe says they always plan ahead to ensure everything goes smoothly during these type of meetings.
