Bloemfontein -The National Empowerment Fund has opened its doors in Bloemfontein. The NEF, which funds start-ups, expansions and equity acquisitions, launched its Free State regional office at a function in Bloemfontein this morning.
NEF executive, Ntlakalane Moleko says his organisation will also focus on assisting black empowered businesses and unlock the potential of entrepreneurs. However, Moleko says the door is not closed to budding white entrepreneurs.
The NEF provides funding from R250 000 to R75-million towards viable businesses. It says it will continue to fund small and medium enterprises for which it has approved over R4-billion to date.
