Shaxe Khumalo's Biography

Raised in the small town of Botshabelo just outside of Bloemfontein in the Free State, Shaxe Khumalo’s radio journey has not been an uneventful one. “It took me exactly 12 years to get to where I am today. I started out at Radio Shimla (now known as Kovsie FM) which prepared me for the journey that I’m currently on. Joining OFM in 2011 was the start of a new journey with each day teaching me something new,” explains Shaxe.

Shaxe is also a sought after club deejay, motivational speaker, MC and event planner best known for bringing the beach to Bloemfontein in the form of the annual Mangaung Beach Party. Followers of this charming entertainer and unrelenting go getter have helped cement his place as one of the biggest forces to be reckoned with in Bloemfontein’s entertainment industry.

Shaxe can be heard weekdays on “On Air With Shaxe” at 22:00 – 00:00 and Saturdays on “The House That Shaxe Built” 22:00 – 00:00.
