Formed in 2008, Goldfields WiFi started as an IT company. Focusing on the provision and installation of hardware and software as well as the installation and maintenance of servers, a need for the provision of reliable data solutions was identified. Goldfields WiFi installed their first radio equipment in 2013 after acquiring the necessary licensing from ICASA. Since then, Goldfields WiFi has built up a wide-reaching wireless internet network throughout the Lejweleputswa region and provides services to schools, businesses, churches, and private homes. With the much anticipated arrival of the Evotel-fibre roll-out in the Matjhabeng region, they started pursuing the establishment of a partnership with them as the Fibre Network Owner in 2020. They are the only locally based Internet Service Provider that has partnered with Evotel and have already done a few hundred installations in the area.
