Seen as one of the most peaceful countries, Canada has championed universal healthcare and open borders. So where did it get its reputation? BY JACKIE KOPPELL
Over the last 50 years, Canada has only fought in two major wars. They chose to stay out of the U.S. invasions of Vietnam and Iraq and they continue to maintain low levels of corruption and violent crime throughout their country today.
After WWII, which is the last war Canada fought in, they created a national identity that focuses on peace, multiculturalism and social liberalism. How were they able to do this and how have they been able to maintain peace for so many years? The video has the details.
