Anderson eyes Rodgers Cup semis─── MORGAN PIEK 15:47 Fri, 10 Aug 2018
South Africa’s leading men’s singles tennis player, Kevin Anderson, has his sights set on the semi-finals of the 2018 Rodgers Cup being played in Toronto.
Anderson, the 2018 Wimbledon finalist, will, however, have to overcome world number-five, Grigor Dimitrov, in the quarter-finals this evening.
The world number-six, Anderson, and Dimitrov have faced each other seven times in the past and the Bulgarian leads the head-to-head battle 6-1.
Their most recent meeting was during the quarter-finals of the 2016 Stockholm Open, which Dimitrov won in three sets.
The winner of this match will face either Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece or world number three Alexander Zverev of Germany in the semi-finals.
