The defending Premier Soccer League champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, consider themselves to be the underdogs ahead of Saturday’s game against Kaizer Chiefs in Pretoria.

Sundowns will be wanting to return to winning ways following their shock 1-0 defeat to TS Galaxy earlier in the week.

The Brazilians co-coach Rhulani Mokwena said they have no pressure on them heading into game as they are the underdogs, but it's important to set the record straight following their defeat to the Rockets.

“There’s no time in football. You’ve got to win matches, we are in the sport of winning matches as coaches. Our job is to win matches. The performance against TS Galaxy was not good. We had too many players that were struggling with the touch, the intensity of the game.

“And that’s our responsibility, to make sure the team is prepared. So, when the team isn’t prepared, we don’t have enough hunger, we don’t have enough aggression, then we have to look at our preparation because there’s a big game on Saturday.”

Saturday’s game at Loftus Versfeld kicks off at 15:00.

Meanwhile, round three of the league kicks off at 19:00 on Friday night with Maritzburg United hosting Swallows at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
