Round two of the Premier Soccer League resumes on Wednesday evening with a total of five games being played.

The Nedbank Cup champions, Free State Stars, will be at home this evening when they face the high-flying Maritzburg United at Goble Park.

Ea Lla Koto want to record their first win this evening following a 3-0 drubbing by Wits in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Fresh off their 2-0 win over Chippa United on Saturday in round one, Bloemfontein Celtic travelled to KwaMashu to face Clinton Larsen’s Golden Arrows.

The Celtic coach, Steve Komphela, told OFM Sport that Arrows are always tough.

“There play with a lot of energy and they counterattack a lot,” said the former Bafana Bafana captain.

“The fact that we are possession-based, we are susceptible to a counterattack.

“The way we played on Sunday and on the back of the heavy week we had with just one training session, based on our own challenges. You cannot fault anybody for that, but we are trying to rectify the problem.

“What is more important is to get the players to get their energy back. The Post-match meeting is crucial, the recuperation will be crucial, the drive to Durban is going to be tough, but this 72-hour period will be crucial.

“At least will win enter the match with the sweet taste of victory, but the new challenge against Arrows is not going to be easy.

“They are quite fast and fresh, and we are going to have to be quick on our recovery from attack to defence.”

Other games that will be played on Tuesday night are – Chippa United vs. Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United vs. AmaZulu and Baroka FC vs. Cape Town City FC.

All of Wednesday evening’s fixtures kick-off at 19:30.
