#Coronavirus: SA's Covid-19 deaths increase to 13, infections to 1,749─── 16:38 Tue, 07 Apr 2020

South Africa has recorded another Covid-19 related death, bringing the total to 13, while the number of confirmed infections with the virus nationally have risen to 1,749, Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said on Tuesday.
The fatality was a man with advanced cancer. He died in hospital in Berea, in Durban.
"As at today, the total number of confirmed #Covid19 cases is 1749. There is also another death, bringing the total to 13 deaths. It was a male who had stage four prostrate cancer at Parklands Hospital," Mkhize said.
"We convey our condolences to the family of the deceased."
Seven of the 13 Covid-19 fatalities have occurred in KwaZulu-Natal.
