No load-shedding was expected in South Africa on Tuesday, power utility Eskom said on Monday.
Eskom said the possibility of load-shedding remained.
"Eskom does not expect to implement load-shedding tomorrow, but the possibility that load-shedding may be implemented remains. The system remains constrained and vulnerable. We are currently utilising emergency generation reserves to supplement supply. We remind the public, however, that Eskom may have to implement load-shedding at short notice should the system performance deteriorate," Eskom said.
"Unplanned outages or breakdowns were at 11,174MW as at 4.10pm today and planned maintenance outages are at 3,846MW."
