Suspect in court for allegedly harassing mineworker─── 07:38 Mon, 07 Oct 2019
A suspect who allegedly sexually harassed a mineworker at LanXess Chrome Mining in Rustenburg in the North West, will be appearing in the Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court today.
This is according to Numsa National Spokesperson, Phakamile Hlubi-Majola.
Hlubi-Majola adds that Numsa members embarked on a nine-day sit-in underground protest in June to show their disapproval against the mine's management for allegedly failing to deal decisively with allegations of sexual harassment by a mine captain at the mine.
Hlubi-Majola further stated that Numsa members will be showing their support to the union member at court today.
