Picking land without municipal consent is illegal - DA─── 17:41 Wed, 24 Apr 2019
The Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Maluti-A-Phofung municipality is worried about people who take land illegally.
Speaking to Ofm News, the party's PR councillor Metsing Mphakate warned residents to stop listening from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). The EFF advised people to occupy land whenever possible.
Mphakate says of course people should get sites for their personal interests but under an instruction of the municipality.
However, he also urged people to vote for the DA next month during the national elections. He says there would be no proper services in the municipality as long as the political members work along with the administrators.
He added that his party is going to employ qualified administrators who'll bring stability in the municipalities. He further condemned nepotism in the workplaces.
