The Toyota Cheetahs are back in action this weekend after a 3 week hiatus in the Pro14 and will look to hit the ground running as they face the Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday.

The Central South African franchise will want to capitalize on a wounded Drangon’s side after the Welshmen were stunned 45-13 by the Kings earlier this month for the latter’s first win of the tournament.

The Cheetahs currently hold on to the 3rd position in group A of the competition log, 7 points behind the 2nd placed Munster and 5 points ahead of the Cardiff Blues in 4th.

With the group stages of the competition drawing to a close, a win for the Cheetahs will be of utmost importance and should go a long way in securing a spot in the knockout stages of their first Pro14 campaign.

Head coach Rory Duncan is expected to name his side for the clash later today and despite signing with the Cheetahs for 3 months, new recruit Rudy Paige has remained in Bloemfontein.

The match kicks off at 21:35 on the turf of the Rodney Parade tomorrow evening.
