There will be no time for the Griffons to rest on their laurels following their Currie Cup 1st division title defense against the Leopards this past weekend.
The Griffons successfully defended their 2016 title when they thrashed Jonathan Mokena’s chargers 60-36 at the HT Pelatona Projects stadium this past Friday.
The work is, however, far from done as the same Griffons side will this weekend travel to Kimberley where they will face the Griquas in a promotion-relegation fixture.
The Peacock Blues who finished last on the Currie Cup Premier Division log are faced with the daunting task of protecting their spot in the top division against an in-form Griffons outfit who of course finished atop of the 1st division table.
