The world and South African hockey great, Pietie Coetzee, is delighted with the development of the sport in the Free State over the past few years.
The legendary Bloemfontein hockey player was in her city of birth over the past weekend and presented a few coaching clinics.
Coetzee hasn’t been back in the City of Roses for numerous years, and since her retirement from the sport, this is the first time she has been back.
Coetzee told OFM Sport that she can see the development of the sport in the region at national tournaments.
As a player Coetzee scored 287 goals in 298 internationals for South Africa.
