The Bloemfontein motor sport sensation, Stuart White, is taking his career to the next level after making a big name for himself in carting over the past few years.

The teenager has moved up to Formula Ford in South Africa and F4 in France during the off-season and is starting to take steps in the direction of professional motor sport.

The youngster has also left Grey College and is being home schooled in order to accommodate his passion.

On Monday, White was appointed as a brand ambassador for Scott Sport, which is a producer of bicycles, winter equipment, motor sports gear and sportswear.

The deal has seen White being given a top mountain bike to keep up the fitness levels while not in front of the books or behind the steering wheel on tracks in South Africa and Europe.

Fitness is a major part of motor sport, and due to the nature of the sport, is perhaps never really recognised.

White told OFM Sport that fitness is very important, so the mountain bike will help in maintaining the fitness levels.

“Obviously fitness levels in sport is a major challenge for anybody, but being a brand ambassador for Scott is such an amazing opportunity to get my fitness levels to the top.

“If you look at any racing driver or motorbike rider, they all look at becoming brand ambassadors for guys like Scott in order to achieve peak fitness levels.

“I’m just looking forward to getting on the bike.”

That will have to, however, wait for a few days for White as he jetted off to Italy on Tuesday to race at Monza over the weekend in the second round of the French F4 Championship.

White said he is looking forward to be heading to the iconic tracking Italy for the first time in his career.

“Racing on Monza as 15-year-old is absolutely amazing.

“It’s something I’ve been dreaming about for years. I’ve always played on Monza in games and I just cannot wait to get onto the track.

“It’s such a legendary track so I’m really looking forward to the weekend.”

White is currently 12th in the French Formula 4 standings after a tough baptism of fire at Nogaro during the second week of April.
