Cosatu says the Constitution should not be amended and it is not to blame for among others government's failures to transform land in South Africa.
Cosatu's spokesperson, Sizwe Pamla, says Section 25 of the Constitution provides a clear mandate to government but the Expropriation Bill must be amended.
The relief organisation, Gift of the Givers (GOTG), is hard at work in the drought-effected Sutherland in the Northern Cape. About 12 bore holes are ready after a GOTG team started drilling recently.
Today (Friday) is the last opportunity for Free State communities to take part in public hearings about the Restitution of Land Rights Amendment Bill. The hearings are at the Barolong Hall in Thaba-Nchu. It starts at 10:00.
